Cosmopolitan Birthday Party at Ferster's Home

A Week of Changes

Saturday we went to York, an old city in the interior of WA. Fields of canola flowers covered the hillsides in many designs. Sister Ferster, our friend and driver, has an excellent eye for what makes a good picture. It was fun seeing all the flowers and being in the middle of some.
Elder Jensen by the Wattle Tree in Lightening Swamp Bushland.

Looks like a Banksia Tree, but it's not. These cones are in the middle of the ferns in Wireless Hill Park in Melville, where we lived when we first came to Perth.
Sister Va'enuku and Sister Tzanis, Elder Packwood and Elder Rodrigous, our investigator, Tony, (in the blue shirt); Jody Ulganathan, a recent convert; and Sister Nikora's son who was baptised in January. How do Elder and Sister Jensen look? Taken at a dinner the YSA gave for the missionaries.

Elder Jensen, Gareth Parry, and his friend at Subiaco Stadium for Aussie Football.

Smith Family Happenings

The new year is here! Happy 2009. We have thoroughly enjoyed this reprieve of Christmas Break. I am a better mom when I don't have so much scheduled. Hmm... have to work on making that happen more. Now that the kids start school tomorrow, Amelia, Carson, and Amberlee are sick. It will be ok. We just hope it will move on quickly.

We had a great time sleigh riding yesterday at West Ridge Golf Course with Tyler and the Limbs. The saucer sleds worked best! It was a beautiful clear day and we could see all of the mountains on both sides of the valley.

Our church time is 1:00pm now so I need to get ready, but wanted to figure some of this out. Thanks Diane for your help-you blog guru! More later,
Love all of you,
Melanie
